Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American performer and actor who started her career through clever raps that tackled the issues of sexuality and race with a a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from the trumpet. Also, she received the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. Then, she even had an hour studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. Following graduation, she decided to concentrate on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitchethe cost of $. The latter song was linked directly with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. After a successful career as a performer, she took on the role of actor. Apart from the early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
