Her versatility and range in her career as an artist is second to none. Audra has been awarded six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an Emmy Award. In 2015, she won an unprecedented 6 Tony Awards as well as two Grammy Awards and Emmy Awards. She was also named by Time magazine among the 100 most influential individuals and received the National Medal of Arts - the most prestigious prize for artistic achievement in America in recognition of artistic excellence - from the president Barack Obama. It's the same role she played in her 2017 West End London debut for which she was considered for nomination to an Olivier Award. As the first actress to be awarded in four different acting categories, McDonald also set a record for the amount of awards an actor has received. McDonald first made her television debut as a character actor in her role on the Peabody Award winner CBS series Having Our Say - The Delany Sisters' First 100 years. McDonald was first seen in The Good Wife, a CBS Legal drama The Good Wife as U.S. attorneys Liz Lawrence and Liz Reddick from 2009 until 2018. She reprised her roles (now called Liz Reddick) in The Good Fight in the role of the Paramount+ season regular. McDonald has been nominated for Three Critics Choice Award awards. She is also a character on the HBO series The Gilded Age by Julian Fellowes.
